The Adventures of Sudsakorn

The goal of my short film is to introduce a classic Thai story to a Western audience using the cinematic style of Wes Anderson. It is the story of Sudsakorn, a young girl who sets out on an adventure to find her father, the prince. During this adventure she encounters a cunning thief and a city of ghosts! The story of Sudsakorn is one of Thailand’s most famous stories and was originally written as part of a larger narrative over 200 years ago. As a result of the current pandemic, I was able to work on this film whilst being in Thailand which allowed me to travel to locations around the country to shoot scenes that would give the film a greater sense of authenticity. Some of these locations include the Thai royal palace and the ruins of the city of Ayutthaya. I hope you enjoy the film! 😊
